Beauty is all around in Oahu, but nothing beats its beaches. As an island chain, Hawaii has some of the best beaches in the world. And from Waikiki to the North Shore, Oahu has been at center of tourists seeking fun in the sun since the 1950s. Whether you’re looking for big waves or beautiful sunsets, Oahu has some of the most amazing beaches for you.

Reserve an IMI Tour or check out the best beaches in Oahu for yourself. Here are just a few of our favorite beach spots:

Waimea Bay

The North Shore is a surfer’s paradise and it all starts in Waimea Bay. The top North Shore surfing destinations include Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, and the Banzai Pipeline. The winter swells create towering waves that top out at Waimea Beach Park, located on the right hand side of the bay. These are serious waves and the National Weather Service issues high surf warnings for the North Shore.

IMI Tours offers both Circle Island Tours and North Shore Surf Tours.

Lanikai Beach

Located in the quant beach town of Kailua, Lanikai Beach is a destination all unto itself. It’s often considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. An offshore reef keeps the aqua blue waters around Lanikai Beach calm all year long, making it an excellent spot for swimmers. Rent a kayak and head to the Mokulua Islands or sign up for a kayak tour. Beachgoers should know that parking at Lanikai Beach is limited, so be prepared.

Ko Olina Oahu

Ko Olina’s main attraction are the four man-made beach coves called the Ko Olina Lagoons. The crescent-shaped lagoon makes for a safe and idea swimming hole in Oahu, and are accessible through the Marriott Ko Olina, Disney Aulani Resort, and The Four Seasons Hotel. This is a “do not miss” beach when you visit Oahu on a resort vacation.

Waikiki Beach

Probably the most famous and popular beach in Hawaii, Waikiki Beach is where all the tourists head. However, it’s popular for reason. It’s divided into several sections by different hotels, and connected to the other by a boardwalk, making it easy to get around. The waters offer both good swimming and surfing areas, and other fun activities abound, including surfing, boogie boarding, canoe racing, stand-up paddling, snorkeling, volleyball, beach combing and more. Nearby attractions include the Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Aquarium, just minutes away.

No matter which beach you choose, get there with IMI Tours or our partners at SpeediShuttle and Arthur’s Limousine. IMI Tours offers Oahu tours to the North Shore and more. Or reserve private transportation to the beach with SpeediShuttle or Arthur’s.
