We’ll take you on a journey to explore the rich history and culture of Kauai, from the sites of battles between King Kamehameha I and King Kaumuali’i, to the Russian Fort Elizabeth and the “Spouting Horn”. Learn About Kauai’s Native Plants Plus Visit Hollywood Backdrops

As part of our Waimea Canyon Tour, you’ll learn about the unique native plants and trees of Kauai, and the medicinal uses for many of these plants. Our knowledgeable tour guides will share their expertise on the importance of native Hawaiian plant species and how they contribute to Kauai’s ecology.  You’ll also be able to explore the various Hollywood movie backdrops of Kauai, such as the Hanapepe lookout, which was used as inspiration for the Disney Movie, Lilo and Stitch.

The tour operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from approximately 7:30 am to 3:30 pm and features a number of scheduled stops including:

  • Hanapepe Valley Lookout
  • Menehune Pond Lookout
  • Mariko’s
  • Waimea Canyon (the Grand Canyon of the Pacific)
  • Koke`e State Park Kalalau Valley over look
  • Pu’uhinahina Overlook (Waimea Valley)
  • Lunch Stop- A daily menu will be present to you early in your tour giving you an opportunity to select your meal.
  • Russian Fort and King Kaumuali`I Statue
  • Kauai Coffee Plantation

Our pick-up locations are located at most major East hotels, or convenient designated pick-up spots if access is not available at your hotel.

Instead of large buses, we employ local guides driving smaller vehicles from SUVs to 11 passenger Mercedes-Benz shuttles for our Kauai Tours. These smaller vehicles help create a more intimate, relaxing, and educational experience in Kauai.

Cancellations of our Waimea Canyon Hal Tour are at no charge up to 24 hours prior to the initial tour time. Any cancellation 24 hours or less before pick-up time will be charged the full rate for the ride. Cancellations to Kauai tours made after hours by answering service will be accepted based on the time-stamp on the message.
